|Description:||This sketch was done in the Alhambra, Spain, in 1983. It tells the story of the princess who sacrificed herself to save her father, the Moslem King of the Alhambra, from defeat in battle on condition that he gives his beatuiful daughter to the magician. The fountain is the harp she plays to send the magician to sleep as she tries to escape from her prison in the caves under the castle. The story is part of Washington Irving's book "Tales of the Alhambra".|
