Description:	This life size bronze casting of the botanist Joseph Banks. The sculpture photograph shows him standing in the artist's foundry (Fineart Bronzefoundry) in the process of being constructed. It is part of a larger sculpture commission by Botany Council, Sydney. The final sculpture, now located in Botany Park, Sydney, depicts him examining a banksia, with his foot on a rock covered in flora and fauna, with Aboriginal carvings inside the rock and an older portrait of him (when he was the President of the Royal Society) growing out of the rock face.
